The last years have shown that children develop cavities more often and at a younger age. This is caused by less prevention, more use of sugar and less attention for brushing teeth. It is especially important for children and young adults to visit the dental hygienist regularly. When children have learned to take good care of their dentition at an early age, they will enjoy a lifetime of healthy teeth! As a dental hygienist I have a lot of experience in treating children. With personal attention and in a positive way I teach children to keep their mouths healthy. 
 
In 1993 I graduated as a dental hygienist from the Hogeschool Utrecht. The first years of my career I worked for Jeugdtandzorg, a youth dental care organization in The Hague and also in a regular dental practice. Since 2005 I have my own dental hygienist practice located in Statenkwartier in The Hague. 
 
My dental hygienist practice is specializing in children. I attend children and young adults throughout their childhood to help them with good dental hygiene, so they benefit a lifetime of strong and healthy teeth!

0-18 years

All children until 18 years are very welcome for:
  • Regular dental check
  • Playfully getting used to the dental practice
  • Assistance in stopping with the use of dummy or thumb
  • Dental hygiene instruction
  • Treatments like dental cleaning, sealing and fluoride
  • Keeping teeth healthy for young adults with braces
Also without referral from dentist or orthodontist. Most treatments are compensated directly by health insurance companies! As a dental hygienist I have a lot of experience in treating children. With personal attention and in a positive way I teach children to keep their mouths healthy. Children without cavities in their temporary teeth have a greater chance to have an intact adult dentition.

For every age a special treatment is available:
 
0-3 years Playfully get used to me and the (dental) surroundings
4-12 years Dental hygiene instruction and preventive treatments like dental cleaning, sealing and fluoride
12-18 years Motivate and optimize dental hygiene and extra treatments for young adults with braces

Because children and young adults like to come into my practice, they are more motivated to take good care of their teeth. Also for parents it is a nice feeling that their children are comfortable in the dentist’s chair.

Don't forget:
  • Always bring your own toothbrush
  • Always report changes such as relocation, medication use or allergies
  • Appointments that have been canceled at least 24 hours in advance will not be charged
